Shugborough mystery: The Origin
So, where or when has it started, the mystery of Shugborough Hall. And I am not talking about the official mystery with solving ten letters code on Shepherds Monument. I am about the Secret - occult, demonic rituals which were conducted by Thomas Anson and were written about in my previous post 'The Dark side of Shugborough' . It is interesting how after finding something you have to go back and look at certain things again, but with different perspective.... Let's start from the meaning of the name itself ....Shugborough. Simply by Googling it you will find this: Allegedly it means 'devil or demon mound' or 'hill haunted by evil spirit', derived from Anglo-Saxon word 'scucca', which means 'evil spirit'.
